help converting hex ir to GC format

I'm a newbie at this ir thing. I have the hex code for an IR command and used the GC convert tool to convert it. Problem is the result starts with what I beleive are entries I need to make, hz, comm,repeat and some others. Can someone help explain what to do after I run the convert tool.
