That was it, as soon as I loaded the 1.5.5.16 Insteon plugin the I/O Linc was successfully added as a device to Homeseer.

          Thanks Mark

You're welcome. Thanks for the feedback. I have posted a note on the 1.5.5.0 thread referring people to 1.5.5.16 until I post the next release.

I have my garage door working with Mark's Driver and the 2450 iolink. I don't like how it functions as I'm not keen on polling the 2450 to get the current status. I really wish it could send HS a status update like the passive motion and door sensors. I'm going to keep playing with it, but Mark's current PLM plugin works. I may also put a controlled outlet on before the 2450 (same as the actual opener is plugged into) to act as a kill switch so the door can't be opened while I'm away. I'm willing to do some beta testing with you Mark if you'd like. Just shoot me an email. Tgreen [at] greentechmgmt.com

The iolinc sensor should be sending a msg (like the motion and door sensors) when its status changes. thus polling shouldn't be required.

that said, i have noticed on my setup, the msg doesn't always make it back to the PLM. I think when the garage door opener is active (motor running), it generates noise on the powerline which probably blocks the msg.

                thus polling may be required

so you may need to do a little testing on your setup. try disconnecting the door from the opener and open and close the door manually. do you see a msg generated from the iolinc in your hs log? You should. If not, there is other noise on the powerline blocking the msg.

That would make sense, but even with it plugged in at my kitchen and the door sensor in my hand, I don't see the status in HS. If I wait, it will get there due to polling though. I even tried rapidly moving the contacts to and from each other to see if it was a broadcasting issue. Really wish there were config tools for the insteon products rather than the tap programming

I'll keep playing with it and let you know where I end up. Don't think this is you plug in being the redheaded stepchild.

Not sure this is a noise issue. I can send multiple on off commands while the door is in travel and it never seems to miss. I did the manual door opening and closing, the status light changes accordingly, but the status in HS only changes upon polling of the 2450. I think this is an insteon issue

please try the 'program device for homeseer' button on the device edit page. maybe the plm lost the record for the iolinc which is required for the plm to receive/process inboudn msgs, but not required to transmit msgs to the iolinc.

Did that. Only link is "Link #1 Input Sensor has local control reporting to HomeSeer". seems like there should be more than 1 link, no?

Is it something stupid like having the status closed when you first make connection? Idk, starting to run out of ideas

Odd, I did a re-read of the link table. There's now 16 links to unknown devices. Nothing to HS. Deleted all the links and they all came in again. The addresses do seem unlikely though. Must just be what Insteon load to their tables to "clear" them.

Anyways, I did the program for HS:

the 1 link is correct. the relay doesn't need a link because it operates on the same Group #

please display the interface links from the config page and make sure the iolinc is listed there as well.

please post a screen shot of the settings and op flags for the iolinc
