    Insteon PLM plug in crashing

    Hello,
I am experiencing 2 errors with the Insteon plug in.

The first one is HomeSeer says the GroupLinkAddress INI section for device XX.XX.XX is corrupted. Please delete and re-add your device.

This picture I am posting below will provide detail. All of the devices the message is refering to are Keypadlinc Dimmers in 8 button mode, with firmware version 36.

The keypads seem to work fine; I have setup some triggers into HomeSeer and they work fine as well. I don't know what the problem is.....

The 2nd issue is Insteon seems to crash for no aparent reason. Maybe it is related to the first? I am running a fresh 2413S Dual Band PLM.

Thanks for any help you can provide. I would also be willing to pay for this plug-in. Aside from these two errors, it seems to be more feature rich than ever.

    Thanks!

    Travis,

Looks like you have several 8 btn KPLs. The errors are definitely related to the kpls.

i need you to add the following two GroupLinkAddress lines to each device section listed below to the insteon.ini. Then use the 'program for homeseer' btn to update the links.

    [Device 8]
    GroupLinkAddress 7=43
    GroupLinkAddress 8=44

    [device 9]
    GroupLinkAddress 7=45
    GroupLinkAddress 8=46

    [device 14]
    GroupLinkAddress 7=47
    GroupLinkAddress 8=48

    [device 18]
    GroupLinkAddress 7=49
    GroupLinkAddress 8=50

    [device 25]
    GroupLinkAddress 7=51
    GroupLinkAddress 8=52

    [device 34]
    GroupLinkAddress 7=53
    GroupLinkAddress 8=54

    [device 35]
    GroupLinkAddress 7=55
    GroupLinkAddress 8=56

This problem with registering a 8btn kpl will be fixed in v1.5

Will do, thanks for the help.

Also, thanks for all of the work you've done for the Insteon plug in.

        Thanks Mark,

        That did the trick.

Can't wait to buy the plug-in and support your efforts.

        Question for you -

If I have created links in HouseLinc2 through another PLM and HomeSeer can see them, is this okay?

        In other words,
I am trying to do 2 things:
Have local links from keypad to devices through HouseLinc2

Have triggers into HomeSeer and trigger events based on button press.

It seems to be working just fine; just want to know your thoughts.

        Thanks!

          missed the follow-on question...

if you are using two different PLMs (one for houselinc and another for hs), hs will ignore the links created by houselinc since they have a different plm insteon id. You will see them listed on the device link tables as 'unregistered device'
