I'm still having an issue with the Beta where my IOLinc sensor is incorrectly being reported as changing state. It's only happening once every 2-3 days, and I've attached a log of one incident, below.

For comparison, I NEVER had this occur prior to installing the Beta (and I've been using the Insteon plugin since the end of February).
The issue with the Beta where an incorrect Unknown value = 0 was being reported on loss of comm. (causing the system to think that the garage door had been opened) occurred 3-4 times per day until it was fixed (thanks, for that).

Yes, I'm now using 3.0.6.22. That unknown value issue looks like it's been fixed (thanks). This appears to be different - an ack from the I/O Linc is received, but the state of the sensor is toggled. On the next polling cycle (I poll this device every minute), the sensor is toggled back to the correct state.

This hadn't happened with 3.0.6.0 since February. I only started to experience these false sensor readings when I switched to the beta.

do you have a detailed log snippet that shows the input sensor changing status back and forth after a second polling

I've expanded the earlier snippet I posted (filtered for device 1F.C3.AA), to show the value change on the next polling interval.
I was hoping to catch a new event, but ran into an issue with polling of the device becoming disabled. I'll put that in a new post.

I encountered another issue, where after a second unsuccessful polling attempt of my garage door I/O Linc, the value for the sensor (1F.C3.AA:1) was changed from 'Unknown' (-1) to 'Open' (0), and polling became disabled for that I/O Linc (polling interval set to 0). Is that intended behavior? I didn't realize that polling had been disabled until I reviewed the log last night.
                Thanks.

This is not going to be easy.

The first poll of the sensor produced the following:

                  Sep-27 11:02:39 PM Insteon Received a Direct ACK from Access Garage Door (1F.C3.AA): 1F C3 AA 2A 01 80 26 00 00
The second poll of the sensor produced the following:

                  Sep-27 11:02:44 PM Insteon Received a Direct ACK from Access Garage Door (1F.C3.AA): 1F C3 AA 2A 01 80 2B 00 01
these two responses would indicate a status change.

I did add a feature that disables polling after two unsuccessful attempts. you can override the default below. Add the key/value to your ini and set to 0 to completely disable. Otherwise increase 2 to 5 for instance.

                    [Config]
                    FailedPollThreshold=2

Thanks for the info. I'll make that change. FWIW, I'd prefer an option to never disable polling, even on total loss of comm.. The comm. reliability for my garage door I/O Linc is only around 91% (detached garage, at the back of my yard), and I can see the potential for polling being disabled due to loss of power to the I/O Linc (circuit breaker trip, for example) without notification. Just my $0.02.

It appears that there is still an issue with the device value being changed from -1 to 0 on the second unsuccessful polling attempt.

I agree. This appears to be the same issue reported by Burrington in another thread.

I've filtered my log to show only the ACKs around the false sensor setting (below). It looks like the I/O Linc sensor is being polled 3-5 seconds after the relay contact.
The incorrect ACK received at 'Sep-27 11:01:28 PM' also has a different 'Hops Left/Max Hops' value ($6) than the previous ACKs, so it doesn't appear that the plugin is using stale data.

I think I finally found the issue. i'll post 3.0.6.23 to the beta section of the updater

I added "FailedPollThreshold=0" to the [Config] section of my Insteon.ini, but it gets deleted any time the .ini is updated for any reason. Any ideas?
