Logitech web service response does not contain a login authorization token

Getting this all of a sudden and I have not updated my harmonyhub firmware in years.

Seems to be random too as at one stage yesterday it managed to work.

Aware the dev is away till late sep early october. Can wait until then.

    Thanks

      Hi Rien,

I had it for a few days and it resolved itself. Now that I've rebooted the PC problem has come back again.

I think I get this error when trying to rescan devices

Plugin: Harmony Hub Test Get Devices output for :Hub1: LOGITECH WEB SERVICE LOGIN : FAILURE ERROR : harmonyWebServiceLogin : Logitech web service response does not contain a login authorization token -

I think it has something to do with the Logitech web service.

I've seen this once in my logs, but 99,9 % of the time it's working without an error.

I'm getting this error as well, when setting up my first hub in your plugin.

              Yes, I get this too.

The plug-in has never worked with my set-up, and has always given this error for me. I have checked that the PI has the right id and password by logging into MyHarmony, and checked that I have the right IP address via my router, so not sure what else to do. Here's the log:

I just updated HS3 to .379 and suddenly the plugin started working.
All of my Harmony devices / activities are now displaying.

I was on .368 but have just installed .379 Beta to test. It has made no difference for me. The PI is still not working.

My HS3 config and latest Log entry running .379 are enclosed:

HomeSeer Version: HS3 Standard Edition 3.0.0.379 (Windows)
                    HomeSeer: Is Registered

OS Version: 10.0.15063 Service Pack: 0.0

                    It's all very odd. :-(

Must be the logitech web service?

Mines started working again after a few days. As the plugin keeps trying to login to the logitech web service once it finally get through it works.

My fear is if I restart HS3 I'll lose it again for a few days.

Any update on a fix for this? It's become really painful.

My most common use for the home automation system is TV On/Off daily.

                        Cheers

I do believe this has nothing to do with the plugin otherwise much more users should be complaining.

The most common issue is downtime of heavy traffic of the Logitech services and the local network(firewall, ip settings) of the user.

If this is all ok, do the following:

Goto your <HomeSeer> root folder en execute the following command

bin\harmonyhub\HarmonyHubControl.exe [email] [password] [harmony_ip] for Windows
bin/harmonyhub/harmonyhubcontrol_linuxl.exe [email] [password] [harmony_ip] for Linux
                          bin/harmonyhub/harmonyhubcontrol_linux_arm.exe [email] [password] [harmony_ip] for ARM CPU's

The output should look like this:
LOGITECH WEB SERVICE LOGIN : BYPASSED
                          HARMONY COMMUNICATION LOGIN : SUCCESS
                          HARMONY COMMAND SUBMISSION : SUCCESS

If you still get the authorization token error, please check if there is a file called HarmonyHub.AuthorizationToken in your <homeseer> folder.

It's still not working for me, and has never worked, but I'd love to fix this so thank you for coming back with some suggestions and diagnostic steps.

This is what I get when I follow these steps:

                            C:\Program Files (x86)\HomeSeer HS3>bin\harmonyhub\HarmonyHubControl.exe xxx@xxx xxx 192.168.0.xxx
LOGITECH WEB SERVICE LOGIN : BYPASSED
                            HARMONY COMMUNICATION LOGIN : SUCCESS
                            HARMONY COMMAND SUBMISSION : SUCCESS

That looks as you expected, so I then did a "Create HS Activity Device(s)" and got this in the log:

Nov-13 10:23:07 Harmony Hub Plugin: Harmony Hub Creating Device for hub: Lounge
                            Nov-13 10:23:07 Harmony Hub Plugin: Harmony Hub reference/status is : 1385--PowerOff--Active--1
Nov-13 10:23:07 Harmony HubInfo New Activity Device created
Nov-13 10:23:47 Harmony Hub Plugin: Harmony Hub Test Get Active Activity output for:Hub1: LOGITECH WEB SERVICE LOGIN : FAILURE ERROR : harmonyWebServiceLogin : Logitech web service response does not contain a login authorization token -
Nov-13 10:23:47 Harmony Hub Error Exception in Hub_Polling_Timer_Elapsed : Conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid.

I then searched for HarmonyHub.AuthorizationToken and find there is a 17byte file last modified on 28 Nov 2016 (?) in my Homeseer program folder.

The last modified date looks odd, since I just started using Homeseer in Apr 2017, but I guess I originally got the Harmony Hub in Nov 2016?

Does any of that that help to pinpoint the problem at all?

Hi Rien, Tried a few things tonight.

                              Tried the following

                              HarmonyHubControl.exe abc123@mail.com 123abc 192.168.1.141
LOGITECH WEB SERVICE LOGIN : FAILURE
ERROR : harmoneyWebServiceLogin : Logitech web service response does not contain a login authorization token

Now I can get it to work if I do this
                              1. Un-install the plug
                              2. Delete bin\HarmonyHub files and HarmonyHub.AuthorizationToken in HS3 root
                              3. Re-install the plug
                              4. Rescan devices. ALL WORKS!

However if I restart the PC is fails?

If I run the command as above when its working I still get the same failure/error.

                              Cheers
                              Troy
