Remote speaker client showing as local?

I have a pc running speaker client, this is what shows in the log when it connects:

    /16/2007 7:44:23 PM ~!~Info~!~Speaker client connected from: 192.168.1.114
    5/16/2007 7:44:23 PM ~!~Info~!~Speaker host added, Name: touchscrn1 IP address: 127.0.0.1

This is what shows in my hs setup screen:

    <TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=tableroweven noWrap align=left colSpan=5>HOMETROLLER05 (127.0.0.1)</TD><TD class=tableroweven noWrap align=left>DEFAULT</TD></TR><TR><TD class=tablerowodd noWrap align=left colSpan=5>TOUCHSCRN2 (192.168.1.55)</TD><TD class=tablerowodd noWrap align=left>DEFAULT</TD></TR><TR><TD class=tableroweven noWrap align=left colSpan=5>TOUCHSCRN1 (127.0.0.1)</TD><TD class=tableroweven noWrap align=left>DEFAULT</TD></TR><TR><TD class=tablerowodd noWrap align=left colSpan=5>LAPTOP (192.168.1.117)</TD><TD class=tablerowodd noWrap align=left>DEFAULT</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

    How is this possible?

from a shortcut in the startup folder.

Oddly enough it works, but i cannot even ping this computer at it's actual ip address.

what is going on? any clue?

I'm confused. It looks like you are simply starting a local speaker client on the HomeTroller. What's the ipaddress of the HomeTroller?

Look at the ip address that is showing for Touchscrn1 - 127.0.0.1 !!

          This isn't possible (i thought)

I wonder if this is just a code error. 192.168.1.114 doesn't show up in the list at all yet it was shown in the log as connecting. Do all the speaker clients work?

              Fixed it!

It was caused by the stupid windows xp firewall on the PC!

Very weird but all ok now

              Thanks
