I am trying to create a new event In the Action tab, I select "Insteon Actions" from the Add Action drop down. Then I select "Set Light Level at Ramp Rate" in the Select An Action drop-down. Under the Select Device drop down, only a subset of my Insteon devices are listed. For example, I have a dozen SwitchLinc V2 600W dimmers (firmware Version 38)... but only four of them are listed. Any ideas?

to change this, shutdown hs, change one device and restart hs and see if it is added to the list.
if this does not fix the issue, i'll need to see a few examples from your ini for one that does display vs one that doesn't display in the list.Mark

the best approach would be to shutdown hs and clear the protocol value of devices you suspect are wrong and then restart hs. then reread the settings and links of these these devices. this should reset the protocol valueMark

Exactly how do you perform this task? I have several items listed as i1:
Switchlincs (both relay and dimmer)
keypadlincs
the new smaller lamp module
remotelinc
Some icons, but some are i2
Is this task to change the entry in the .ini file, or something otherwise?
Thanks,
John

you need to shutdown hs first then make the changes then restart hs, then reread the links and settings for these devices. After you restart hs, you will see the Protocol value will change to Unknown on the Edit Device page so you know which devices to reread.Mark
