I wonder if someone can help with changing the device type and subtypes for my thermostats?
I have Cbus thermostats interfaced via xAP. They are heat only thermostats to control underfloor heating. Currently the thermostat devices are set as ordinary devices (no API, Type 0). Each thermostat has 4 normal devices associated with it (on/off, setback on/of, setpoint, and current temperature).
I would like to 'convert' these to a parent device with appropriate child devices as per the thermostat API. So I imagine this would end up being one parent device per thermostat and then sub types for 'operating state', 'setback', 'heating setpoint', and 'temperature'.
But I am a scripting/programming novice and am struggling get my head around the device API.
If anyone could help get me started I am happy to tinker until I get it right.
Many thanks, Marty.
